Friendly miscs:

  • Paddington Recreation Ground has a great range of activities all year round, from athletics tracks to cricket creases and more... Or if you are interested in keeping fit in the gym they have great facilites on site too. Ive spent almost every evening skating around here and using the courts to practice my turns brakes and jumps. Its got a nice loop with some hills and is friendly to skaters. There is also a pavillion refreshment area which appears to be skater friendly! All in all its a nice area for those living out of the city centre!

Friendly pubs:

  • Really skate-friendly pub, you may see lots of skaters gathering there after the Vic closing time, until late in the night...

    119 Tottenham Court Road
    London, W1T 5AW
  • Massive pub on the south bank, with a nice terrace next to the river. You'll need to get through a few cobbles to get there, but once you're inside, you can keep your skates on! There are several bars, a roof terrace with an amazing view, and good food!
    34 Park Street Bank End
    London, SE1 9EF
  • Lovely Sam Smith pub next to Tower Bridge (south side). As in all Smith's, the beer is good and cheap! Chloe, the manager, really welcomes skaters, and there's a lovely beer garden for the hot days (or for the smokers) and good food!
    28 Horselydown Lane
    London, SE1 2LN
  • Nice Fuller's pub on the North Bank. Perfect place to take a break during a skate along the river on a sunnny day (nice beer garden) or to take shelter (it's quite huge inside).

  • A great place , chilled staff and management + 8 real ales on draught, and amazing selection of german and belgian beers. skates allowed inside.

    Tachbrook Street
    London, sw1
  • A lovely narrow pub with comfy chairs at back. About six of us went in there with skates on and they made us very welcome.

Anna, the really nice bar lady was very welcoming and said the skaters can roll in there anytime!

It's only about a five minute gentle skate for Serpentine Road so well worth a visist. We found the place because we were looking for a place to get out of the rain.

Anyway, if you do pop in, do tell them you heard about it here.

    Dover Street
    London, W1S 4LB
  • The Cooperage, London Bridge

The Cooperage is a really great skate friendly pub that has some fantastic beers and the food is awesome.

It's run by Geoff and his amazingly friendly team and we totally recommend you skate over there and enjoy this brill place.

Tell them that Mark from skateInstructor.com sent you!

    48-50 Tooley Street
    London, SE1 2SZ
  • The paradise of (good) beer lovers: an amazing selections of beers from all over the world, from American microbreweries to little know Belgian rarities. Be careful: although this pub is really skate-friendly, the beers they serve are stronger than your usual British ales, and you might find it a bit harder to skate after several pints... http://www.utobeer.co.uk/
    14 Winchester Walk
    London, SE1 9AG
  • Another nice, big Fuller's pub on the riverside. Big "garden", BBQ in the summer, wood stove inside for the cold days, good real ales, and skate-friendly! What else do you want?
    41 Jews Row Wandsworth
    London, SW18 1TB
  • Nice skate-friendly pub in central London. Good choice of beers, real ales, big terrace, but can be a bit busy sometimes.
    351 The Strand
    London, WC2R 0HS
  • Well, another Fuller's... Almost on the south bank, next to Putney Bridge. Nice beers, nice food, nice staff, big screens and skate-friendly!
    46 - 48 The High Street
    London, SW15 1SQ

Friendly restaurants:

  • Fait Maison is a lovely place for Breakfast and Coffee and some great home made food, and the staff are really friendly.

I was there this morning and was made very welcome. Thank you!

I do recommend this lovely place and please tell them you got thier address from this web site.

    Enjoy!

    Gloucester Road
    London, SW7 4TD
  • A friendly, welcoming place where a smile goes a long way and you're welcome in on your skates.

A great place for breakfast and only two mins from Oxford Street. If you go in tell them you know Mark, Nic and Ofran.

Have a look at this link for more info

    6-8 Blandford St Marylebone
    London, W1U 4AU
  • Located right next to the Albert Memorial, the "Tennis Club" is a perfect place to go to to have a coffee, a sandwich, and drink... or just to take shelter when it's raining! The place and the staff are really friendly (and skate-friendly!).
You're quite likely to bump into Mark, Nick, and other instructors having a break between two lessons there.

Will to Win is working closely with the Royal Parks and the Tennis Foundation to develop the tennis facilities and programmes to enable a wide range of the local community to participate.

    South Carriage Drive

  • My Tea Shop

This is a great tea skate friendly tea shop at London Bridge.

All skaters are welcome and the breakfasts are really good too!

    23 Duke Street Hill

    End of Eastbourne Prom Seafront
    Eastbourne, BN20 7XB

Unfriendly pubs:

  • We have been going to CocoMomo from when it used to be the Prince Regent.

They always made us very welcome on skates and we've certainly supported them and even ran courses from there.

The food is good and most of the staff are really nice. That said some staff members have been a little less polite of late. Worse than that, we have been told that we can't skate in there anymore because one of the locals has complained.

So, we don't support the pub anymore.

    Gloucester Road
    London

Unfriendly restaurants:

  • Went in last week on my way to work on skates as I have done many times before, and before I could give my order I was told I was not allowed to go into Pret with skates on! Such a shame as Pret have always been a favourite place for skaters. Lets hope it's only this branch?
    Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden
    London, WC2N 5DN
