The Heel Brake Stop has to be without doubt one of the most effective ways to stop and one of the easiest stops for a beginner to learn, it's also an awesome way to stop for any skater no matter what thier skill level and when combine with a more advanced stop call the T Stop it's pure stopping power on skates!
